From matt at crc.net.nz Thu May 12 13:48:16 2005 From: matt at crc.net.nz (Matt Brown) Date: Thu May 12 13:48:32 2005 Subject: [srg-announce] SRG 1.3.4 Release Message-ID: <1115862496.9188.5.camel@localhost.localdomain> Hi, I am pleased to announce the release of SRG 1.3.4 the latest in the development series of SRG releases. While it is primarily a bug fix release there are several new features based on patches contributed by users. * SRG now supports a min_connects option to prevent display of users who connected less than a specified number of times * SRG's HTML output is now HTML 4.01 Transitional compliant * Calculation of percentages in/out of cache has been fixed * Merged some performance enhancing patches. See the changelog for full details of all the additions / fixes to SRG 1.3.4 Given the slow progress that is being made in the development tree it is likely that a stable release (1.4) of SRG will be made soon. This release will be based on the 1.3 branch of development. SRG's other big news is that it is now included in Debian. If you are runningsarge or sid (testing or unstable) you should be able to apt-get install srg and you'll be away. Currently SRG 1.3.3 is in Debian (this version has not been released elsewhere). Given that Sarge is currently frozen pending release I do not intend to upload SRG 1.3.4 to Debian at this stage. However updated debs will be provided in the usual download locations. SRG 1.3.3 does not provide any integration with the Debian squid configuration, this functionality was added in SRG 1.3.4 and will make its way into Sid once Sarge has been released. SRG 1.3.4 can be downloaded from the usual locations, see the homepage http://www.crc.net.nz/software/srg.php for details. Many thanks to all the users who have contributed patches and submitted bug reports.
